Providing individuals and families with supportive and stable housing
Since 2009
Share & Care House currently has 6 housing programs to assist those eligible in Pierce County, WA.
If you are homeless in Pierce County, please contact Coordinated Entry @ 211 for coordinated entry, assessment, and referral to appropriate program.
Each Share & Care House housing program requires entry and referral through Pierce County’s Coordinated Entry Program with the exception of HEN. Referrals for our HEN program must come from DSHS
Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) combines low-barrier affordable housing and supportive services to families and individuals. PSH assists those who have disabilities, were chronically homeless, and experience multiple barriers to housing which require supportive services to maintain stable housing.
Prevention Assistance is Short-term rental subsidy with targeted supported services to help families and individuals maintain their current housing as they expand resources to once again become independent of community assistance.
Lifeline-Rent & Utility Assistance is our program for assisting those that are HEN eligible as determined by DSHS. Referrals for the HEN program must come directly from Pierce County DSHS Offices.
Application into this program does not guarantee rent or utility assistance. Openings in this program are dependent upon the state legislative budget designated funds for HEN each year.
